VIDO Studio is a desktop screen recorder and video editor that helps users create polished tutorials, demonstrations, presentations, and social content. It combines flexible screen capture with intelligent zooms, cursor effects, webcam customization, audio tools, timeline editing, and high-quality export.
No. VIDO Studio is designed to make common screen-recording improvements easy. Automatic zoom generation, silence detection, reusable presets, and visual controls reduce the need for advanced editing knowledge.
VIDO Studio is developed by KDJ Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and powered by KD Jayakody, a content creator in Sri Lanka. License terms, pricing, and commercial-use rights are available on the official pricing page.
Core recording, editing, preview, and export operations run through the desktop application. License activation, updates, downloads, or linked online services may require an internet connection.
Recording
Yes. VIDO Studio uses captured mouse activity and clicks to create smooth zoom and focus effects. Automatically generated zoom regions can be reviewed and adjusted in the timeline.
Yes. You can select a webcam and microphone before recording. Webcam video can be positioned and styled in the editor, while audio levels and synchronization can be adjusted.
System-audio recording is available on supported Windows and macOS configurations. Availability may depend on the operating system, selected recording source, and granted permissions.
Yes. Existing supported video files can be imported into the editor for styling, trimming, zooming, panning, speed adjustment, audio work, and export. Some cursor-tracking features may require metadata produced during a VIDO Studio recording.
Not currently. Linux users should run an X11 session.
Editing
Yes. You can create manual zoom regions, choose their focus point, change the zoom level, modify their duration, and adjust their animation.
Yes. Auto Cut Silence analyzes the recording's audio and generates cuts for quiet sections. You can adjust the detection settings and review the proposed cuts before export.
Yes. Import background music, position audio clips on the timeline, adjust their volume, trim them, split them, and apply fade controls.
Yes. Presets allow you to save and reuse preferred visual styles, layouts, effects, and other project settings.
Export & Output
VIDO Studio exports MP4 video and animated GIF files. Available resolutions include 720p, 1080p, and up to 2K at 30 FPS.
VIDO Studio supports common widescreen, portrait, square, and presentation layouts. These include formats suitable for YouTube, websites, TikTok, Shorts, Reels, Instagram, online courses, and presentations.
Recording and export files are stored in locations selected or managed on your computer. The exact default location can depend on your operating system and application settings.
Account & Licensing
After purchase, you'll receive a license key. Enter it in VIDO Studio to activate. Your license is tied to your account and can be managed from your dashboard.
Each license covers one device at a time. You can deactivate on one machine and activate on another from your account settings.
